About The Show
“Songs from Nature” is a staged concert featuring queer songs by composer/pianist/coach Felix Jarrar, about finding solace in isolation in nature. The program consists of the NYC premiere of The Ulster County Songbook Volume I, and the world premiere of Otter Creek**. The subject matter deals with mental health, emotional wounds, lost love, and escaping the drama of the city. From the darkest lows to the highest highs, this program of queer music has something for everyone!**Otter Creek is a jazz-infused cyclical through composed queer song cycle where three musicians have the sobering experience that there is more to enjoy in life than what their careers tell them there is.
